I can suggest this, Soak in cold water, add a small amount of dish washing liquid, rub in with your finger tips. Leave for a few seconds, then rinse with cold water
Have the item dry-cleaned
If this is a valuable item like a wedding dress take it to the cleaners they will be the experts on this . If it is a smaller item . I think there is a "stain devil "product for this purpose. You can get it from your supermarket.
