Try cillit bang on the shower and please keep the doll hun otherwise in a few years you'll be ruing throwing it away. xxxx
Keep the doll. If you don't you will always regret it
what do u mean by shower tray, are you referring to the floor or a thing that to put toiletries in? If you mean floor whats it made out of?
Get her out of the garbage. You will regret throwing her out. It won't take much room to store her away.
Whatever it is that has triggered these emotions I would suggest you deal with before freaking out about every little thing in the world.
It is ok to seek professional help, people who have problems and get help are smart, people who have problems but do not get help are crazy.
The bathroom can be cleaned by a number of your cleaning agents found in a grocery store, just read the label and which one fits your need the most, use that and some elbow grease.
I am not trying to be rude with this posting, I am just trying to help in a realistic manner, it seems something is really wrong and I hope you can get through it.
Take Care
dunno about the shower tray but keep the doll, you'll probably regret it if you throw it away. i mean she can't be taking up that much space can she? hoarding loads of useless things isn't a great idea but one thing that has special memories for you is worth keeping.
#1. Viakal spray and use soft 17p a pack pan scourers not steel wool. #2. You have to let go, I've moved twice in three years and if I hadn't been ruthless I'd need a Portkabin in the back garden to keep all the sentimental junk. As it is I still have boxes I haven't opened.
Keep the dolly! She won't take up much room. My teddy is wrapped in paper and stored at the back of the bottom drawer of my chest of drawers. I very very rarely even get him out to look at him, but I know he's there and I'd be heartbroken to lose him.
Can't help with the shower tray, sorry, but your doll...You & she have been through sooo much together. She clearly holds many memories to you. If you bin her, you will regret it. It is not in any way "sad" to keep things that hold these memories. They are a reminder of the childhood that helped to make you the person that you are. A caring person who cares enough to pose this question.
OK, the shower tray, i use a limescale removing toilet cleaner on it, its great. As for the doll, take it out and store it in a shoe box. Look on the net and see if there is a doll restorer and save up to bring her back to life.
Sometimes you are not ready to do something, however much you want to be, and that is the worst time to do it.
I had a box of stuff from an ex boyfriend, which I thought I'd always keep, and then it just meant less and less to me, until I eventually found it wasting space and threw it out, but I was ready to do that.
You want to take it out the bag, or you wouldn't have asked! There's no shame in keeping stuff! Don't de-clutter before you are ready. Throw out everything else that you don't want and you'll have made plenty of space for your doll.
(I have 250 stuffed animal toys from my childhood, and I am proud!)
Keep your doll. Doesn't matter if she is in a bit of a state. She holds a lot of memories for you. I am sure with a little cleaning and some prettying-up, she will be fine. I wished I had kept some of my childhood toys. I also on had one doll. And my parents gave her away to another little girl when I had left home. So at least she went to a good home.
I think your scourer could've scored the tray so the dirt could be getting in the grooves. It's a tough one to solve. 'Cif' is a good all round cleaner. And not dear, either. The cream is quite powerful and does a good clean job on most surfaces.
xx
1. Use white vinegar - pour onto tray, leave for 4/5 mins then wash off.
2. DO NOT throw your old doll - you'll always regret it.
Keep the doll and for a little $$ you can get it repaired and cleaned but for the other...
PLASTIC SHOWER REPAIR, stop cleaning plastic with abraisives, thats why it won't stay clean. Buff it out with an auto refinishing kit and even seal it with auto products and it will be fine for short money. There are products out there for that kind of repair so shop around. Once you get it clean, it has to be sealed and or waxed to fill up the micro scratches.
oh dear, rest assured we all go through this,
shall i throw it away or not?
from personal experience, if it helps, i still have my teddy, he has only one eye, is a lil bald in places & still has black eyes where my lil brother tried to make him into a Panda!
But i can't part with him,
now go get your dolly out of the trash as you will only regret binning her, place her safely in a cupboard where you'll know where she is, should you want to a trip-down-memory lane.
as for the shower.
opps, using the scourer has now damaged the surface, all i can suggest is you buy some TFR, traffic film remover ( available from Motor-factors ) put on wearing some gloves & a piece at a time un-key the surface.
it should even the surface out.
NOTE never leave it on unattended & rinse all trace of it, once you've finished.
having a clear out is like moving a mountain but sometimes it just has to be done.
good luck with rescuing the shower.
go & get dolly, give her a hug.
:)
You must go get the doll, now, go! Don't let her go because you will be so sad if she's gone. It's not gonna take much to keep one doll. And remember, she was and still is very special to you and she was always there for you as you grew up, right? Now you can be there for her! Go get her!!
The shower tray you could use an non abrasive paste called spotless by JML you can buy it from a diy shop it's quite good i've used it on my shower tray and tile and the shower door and they all sparkle,
Take that doll out of the trash you only had one childhood and one doll keep her, my mum has all my toys from childhood in her loft and they will stay there forever they are not for the trash.
Swarfega Cleaner which can be ordered from Screwfix.com. Good stuff. £6.99 for 5 ltr will last for ages. 1:200 dilution. Use it neat and it will move marks and grease with ease.
you have to keep your doll. You aren't silly at all and don't feel bad
for shower tray use white vinegar and lemon juice.stinks but cheap and does the job!
Of course you must save the dolly.so go and get it now!
That doll carries memories for you - once it is thrown away you will never have the option of getting her back so don't put yourself in that position...you will regret it...
And as she is a bit grubby now...what about a bit of a clean up.some more hair...maybe a new frock...she has come this far with you and I think she deserves it!
bicarbonate of soda three tablespoons mix to a paste smear , on leave as long as possible then rinse off wow it works , keep your doll ,you will regret it ....
