My dog just peed on my carpet...what's the best way to clean it up?

The best solution is to soak up as much pee and possible.
Then use a mix of biological washing powder/liquid dissolved in water and scrub the area.
Then blot up the excess (I always lay thick newspaper over for a couple of hours.
You need to use biological as non-bio doesn't break down the enzymes in urine.
i use a vax carpet cleaner then i would launch the dog into the garden.
A mild solution of disinfectant will help to kill the odour left by the urine.
Using a towel soaked in vinegar, blot up as much moisture as you can. The vinegar will absorb any odors and will not harm your carpet.
Mix vinigar and water, and pour a bit on the spot, then step on the spot to lift with a clean towel or cotton cloth.
Resolve always worked for us. You can buy it in any store.
Maybe this could work. I say maybe maybe...Try too put a lil bit mud on it and wash it.And then soak it with soap, and wash it, and dry it. Try but I say maybe...ok...
Do you have any distilled white vinegar?
If so make a bottle up of 50/50 vinegar and water and spray and soak up.This will kill bugs and smells. I always use this,as I have an incontinent dog. Try it.
Tried and trusty recipe used by all my family and originally came from a chemist. Mix a solution of white vinegar and hot water 50/50 and add a tablespoon of vanilla extract. The vanilla neutralise's the smell and the vinegar cleans it. Works every time.
I have used Soda Water straight away on the spot and it really works.
There is this great product called "spot shot". It is made especially for pet stains (urine, vomit, whatever). It is available at walmart, target, and most grocery stores. It is absolutely WONDERFUL! I use it on stains that are not pet related also and I have never found anything it wont get out. I always keep a couple of cans on hand considering I have 3 cats and 2 kids!
cleaning it quickly is the best thing to do, but try using soda water i know it sounds crazy but it really does work, u just literally pour in on or if u have a spray bottle that wud b better
