How to clean Farberware Aluminum clad stainless steel cookware?

Question:have an old set of cookware that has been in a cottage. The bottoms have black buildup (grease?) and have been cleaned in well water. Inside has some discoloration.
Steel wool soap pads have NOT done the trick

Answers:
The discolorations might be permanent, but you might try Bar Keepers' Friend and a damp scrubby sponge. BKF really cuts through lots of baked on crud. You might also try Krud Kutter, but it's a pretty caustic chemical so be very careful with it.
