How to get rid of weevils?

Spread Bay Leaves in your cupboards..You can find them in the spice isle of your grocery store.. Store rice, instant potatoes and what not in plastic rubbermaid type containers with tight lids.. You get what you pay for..Chances are you got infested by buying some food that was already infested, such as rice, flour, instant potatoes etc. Also try to shop in a supermarket that is well kept.. If your grocery store has opened food on the shelves, then you should really assume that it is going to attract some bugs and they could already be infesting some of the food that is on there..
So you need a fresh start.. Clean out your cupboards. Throw any thing in the garbage that you currently have that is infested with weavels.. Wash down your cuboards with warm water mixed with a small amount of rubbing alcohol (to sanitize) because there is likely food and weavel powder or weavel eggs(which is hard to see).. Any food that you currently have that is boxed, put it in plastic sealable containers or ziplock baggies... Spread bay leaves around on each shelf.. that will help you kind of start over. .The best way to get rid of them is to try to protect your food to begin with..
This will help you in the future to prevent infestation.. Being aware while your grocery shopping is the key to being infestation free.. Look for tiny holes in the box.. Or if the box has a small bend in it or a tear, don't buy it.. The smallest dent on a box is an easy way in for a tiny burrowing bug..
I wish you luck, but you don't need it, once you clean up and start over, it will be easy to maintain!
If you're referring to weevils in your bucket of uncooked rice, throw in some dried chilli.
if the weevils are in your flour, bake it, sift it, and then add a leaf or two of basil... the basil will keep them out.
