Removal of dog hairs and stickers?

Question:I was wondering what the easiest way to remove dog hair from my couch and everwhere else in the house?! Its driving me nuts! Also, When we moved here to this house there were stickers on the windowsill that I am unsure of how to get off. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Answers:
Dog Hairs - Arm & Hammer makes a carpet deodorizing powder you can sprinkle on your couch which loosens the hairs' grip on fabric and leaves a fresh scent. Sprinkle and then vacuum the couch. It is found in the pet section or the cleaning checmical aisle in your supermarket.

Also, a lint roller (for clothes) tends to work really well for animal hairs, too!

The stickers - Soak them with hot, soapy water with a sponge and gently scrape them off with a razor scraper from Home Depot or Wal-Mart in the tool aisle. Keep it moist!

If this doesn't work, get some "Goo-Be-Gone" or some sticker adhesive weakening agency, both of which can be found at Home Depot or Lowe's, and work on it with the scraper a little bit at a time.

Good luck!

I get rid of dog hairs with sellotape wound round my hand, you never get rid of all of them though.
better to live scot free
Use sellotape or masking tape to get rid of dog hairs. I use turps to get rid of sticker marks.
Good grief...isnt Davids answer totally appropriate & usefull?? :-S

Stickers.try rubbing ice cubes on them. It should loosen the stick and you can gently scrape them off. It might make it gooey so you may need a strong cleaner to get the goo off, but use a tight wound towel to wipe it off otherwise you'll just end up with a hairy patch on the window instead :D
Aha ... this one about dog hairs is soooo easy.

Trot off to the Supermarket and buy yourself some rubber gloves ... the ones that you put on when you wash dishes or do the cleaning.

Put them on, run them through water .. hot or cold doesn't matter ... and them smooth them over the couch, chairs .. wherever.

The hair comes off so easy. You can also do that with your sweaters/jumpers.

Now about the stickies on your windows ... sorry but wear and tear from the weather will help you with that .. they are very hard to get rid of.

You can do what I did once ... didn't really help but you might have better luck ... I rang the company that was on the sticker and complained. Well, I rang them because it was the ADT Security System and I didn't want that one. They didn't really help just said ... keep scratching and hung up. Maybe if I rang them up and said that they were worse for wear they might have told me how to get rid of them lol.

Good luck with the gloves. It really works.
We have pets that leave hair all over the place. I keep one of those synthetic thick bath or cleaning sponges, either dry or slightly damp, and use it on all our textiles. The hair adheres to it and leaves sufaces totally hair free. It also works on clothing much better than a brush or rubber gloves. The hair gathers in balls on the sponge and is easy to remove, then you can continue using the sponge to remove more hair from elsewhere.
For the stickers use "Duraglit" wads. They lift the glue and leave no trace on gloss paint, glass, wood, and metals. I even have managed to remove sticky marks left by those awful stickers that bookshops put on paperback covers, but the surface has to be glossy or waterproof. Dry afterwards with clean cloth. It never fails.
Good luck!
use duct tape for the dog hairs (yuk, poor you ), and Goo Gone for the stickers.
For the stickers, Go to DIY store and get a window scraper...close to the painting bits and tools. This is a holder for a Stanley Knife Blade. If that fails to remove all trace.if they are paper stickers, WD 40 will soften the glue. I f they are plastic stickers, gently cut the sticker with a sharp blade in a criss cross pattern, then WD 40 to soften the glue.
The hair's are going to be a problem,if it is a short haired dog . I had a Ridgeback and sadly he passed away several years ago believe me I am still finding his hair's.I tried sellotape and masking tape and it did take quite a few off but some of them seemed to penetrate the furniture,I even bought a Kiby cleaner but to no avail.
The stickers are a different matter, surgical spirit seems to remove anything, I hope it works for you.
A wet sponge will lift the hairs and nail varnish remover try that for the stickers good luck hun x
Dog hairs get some rubber gloves and damp them. rub away and it is amazing how easily they come off. Don't forget to have somewhere to put them or your vacuum cleaner to suck them up.
To get stickers off, try wiping white vinegar on them or use eucalpytus oil.
For the dog hairs it seems that all the answers have already been given, however for the stickers try WD40 spray or any other silicone spray you might have handy. It works very well with a little elbow grease.
a lint roller [which can be bought in most supermarkets] will get rid of pet hairs on your clothes and upholstery just soak labels in soapy water then use scourer to rub off
