Dawn dish soap.
Rub some laundry or soap pad directly on the butter stain then wash as per normal~~
I use Dawn dishwashing liquid, rub some on the stain, let it soak for a little while, and wash.

I find that neat washing up liquid works on practically every stain.Pour some onto stain rub in and then wash as normal..good luck
