How can I get candle wax off my jacket?

Question:

Answers:
Put some brown paper either side of the wax spot and then iron it! It melts the wax and the paper absorbs it. Good luck x

Place kitchen roll over wax, and then iron carefully. This should melt the wax and the roll will blot it up
Try using ice to freeze it then pick it off.
Put it in the freezer and then when it is cold just flake it off. If there is any color stain, try taking it to the cleaners.
place kitchen roll (or something absorbant) over the wax, then iron it. the iron melts the wax, the wax is transfered from jacket to kitchen roll
Iron it with a warm iron with a paper towel on the wax to transfer the gross amount to the paper. Then dissolve remaining wax with mineral sprits or paint thinner. Wash after.
Once candle wax hardens, there is not much you can do about it, but I do have an easy solution for you.

Candle wax is a common problem, but no one really knows just how easy it is to solve.

Scrubbing, washing, scratching and scraping won't do it. Well, you'll be happy to know that if you've got a candle wax stain on your carpet, all you need is an iron and a couple of paper towels. It may seem a little strange, but this actually does work. Just give it a try. You'll be amazed by how fast and effective it is.

Heat your clothes iron, just as if you were going to iron a shirt. Once it's warmed up, place a few paper towels on top of the candle wax stain. Place a few sheets around the stain, which will prevent scorching other areas. Now this is really simple, just iron the sheets of paper that are on top of the candle wax. The wax will liquefy and be absorbed by the paper towels.

As you iron the paper towels, the wax is absorbed into the sheets of paper. This looks like little spots of water or grease on the paper towel. Once you've seen these spots, you know the wax is coming out of your carpet.

And be careful when you're doing this to your carpet. Never try to use a lighter or any other flammable item to take the stain out.
put some brown paper ( I think an envelope will work) over it and iron it - seriously it works xx
brown paper and a hot iron.put the brown paper over the wax and iron it.
I heard that if you place a piece of scrap fabric over the wax, then iron it, it'll transfer the wax from the jacket to the fabric.
Place a piece of brown or plain white paper on an ironing board, place your jacket on top of that, place another piece of brown or plain white paper over the candle wax on your jacket and then iron over the paper with the jacket underneath, keep changing the paper until most all of the wax has gone - then wash as normal or dry clean.

Good Luck
Put it in the freezer for several days, to freeze and dry out the wax. Flick off big chunks and then put paper towels over and under the stain and press with the iron. Rub straight liquid laundry detergent into the area, let set for a few minutes, then wash in the hottest water safe for the fabric.
OR try goo gone!
def use the iron and paper towels - got wax out of my suede dining room chair this way and you would never tell anything happened. iron works for white wax, not sure if would take it out if its red/blue etc.
wax is a type of fat, if the jacket is washable it should wash out like any grease would
Try covering the area with blotting paper and applying a hot iron .You may need to do this a few times to allow the blotting paper to absorb all of the molten wax
There is another way that works! I was taught by the owner
of a candle factory. At Christmas, my wife left all candles on
the dinner table alight. In the morning I found the table cloth
covered with wax, and the carpet was a complete mess, you
could not see the colour. The owner of this factory told me
that home-made candles will not harden on the stem and
will dribble until the wax is cold and then, it hardens. He
said never to buy any candles made by amateurs, since
they did not add the fast hardening chemical.

Well, the cleaning, I was advised that the only complete
way to clean all the candle off any material was to pour
boiling water over the stuck candle which would run off
with the water. I took his advice, the carpet was hung on
clothes drying line and I boiled about two buckets of water.
Poured over the carpet, the wax went down the drain with
the water. You could not notice the molten wax. I repeated
the same with the table cloth, and when all was finished,
I still had a full bucket. It really works with no harm done to
the materials, in this case. All I can say now is that, after
ten years the carpet and table cloth are as good as new.
