Laundrymat question?

Question:I drop off my laundry at the laundry mat to have them wash it for me. The last time i did, some of my clothes didnt come back. I think this may have happened before but i haven't been positive so i didnt ask. This time I know that I put three new, expensive shirts in the load, and when i opened the bag they werent returned. I went back and asked if they could have been mixed in with someone elses and the woman was very rude and told me that that doesnt happen and if they didnt come back then they were never dropped off. Is there anything i can do about this? Theres really no record and its my word against hers?

Answers:
Change laundromats. Rude people dealing with the public gag me. Perhaps you could contact the owner, tell him/her what happened, & see what he/she is willing to do to reinburse you. I'd still change laundromats. Too bad you couldn't find a private party to do your laundry from now on. Maybe you could place an ad in the newspaper. Good luck!

was she the manager?
my guess - no
How about do your own laundry!
You could report her to the manager. But, it would be her word against yours. Besides, anytime I've ever been to a laundrymat, there is a sign up, stating that they are not responsible for lost or stolen items.

The best way to make sure all of your laundry comes back to you is to bite the bullet and wash it yourself.
Sounds shady. I would find another laundrymat or start doing my own laundry.
