Sounds like she is letting them sour in the washer..(not taking them out quick enough).Try soaking them in one cup of vinegar in the washing machine..Let fill with water and let soak for 30 mins..Then let rinse through and rewash..Be sure to put in dryer as soon as they are done..The vinegar will not hurt your clothes at all.
Ask your maid to use a fabric softener in the rinse, and a little bleach in with the wash for your white clothes.
I would think puring some baking soda in the wash cycle would take away foul odor's. Fabric softener in the rinse cycle.
try giving a shot of febreze or cologne when they are in the dryer and still wet, other then that it sounds like your maid doesnt know what shes doing
Never put wet towels or cloths in your hamper--always make sure they are dry. If clothes sit in a washer they will smell nasty.
Dry as soon as your wash cycle is over. The vinegar soak is a good idea, use white vinegar put clothes in after the washer has filled, rinse twice second rinse add a good fabric softener and dry as usual--should smell much better.
You could ask your maid to give the machine a clean. Put the machine on the highest temp, add bleach, do the same again and add vinegar, one cupful of each for this.
believe it or not add a cup of ammonia to the wash but be sure to decease your soap. Not only will you clothes smell better but they will be brighter. DO NOT ADD TO A BLEACH WASH VERY DANGEROUS FUMES ARE MADE!
use some bakingsoda in your wash
After washing your clothes, when it is time to rinse, add 1 1/2 cups of white vinegar, that will remove all the odors from your clothing. When you dry them all the odors with disappear.
