Gray Laundry - Help!?
Question:I washed my white slips and a black slip together. Now the white slips are gray. Any help would be appreciated to getting my whites white again. Bleach is out of the question and I tried nylon whitener which did absolutely nothing. Many thanks to all who answer.

Try washing one time and one time only with Oxy-Clean and dry them in the sun. If that doesn't do the job, your stuck with gray slips. Bleach will turn the nylon yellow. Now you know why your mother separated the laundry. By the way, who's going to know your slips aren't white?
Nappy sand is great just sock for a day and it should be nice and white again then hang it in the sun if any the sun is suppose to help whiten thing just that little bit more after soaking so does a full moon but don't know how true this is try it and see.
I use bleach, but if it is out of the question, try oxyclean.
Clorox II , the color safe bleach may get the dye out. Or check in the laundry section at your local walmart, target etc. where they have the RIT dye boxes and they make one for whites. They make dyes for all colors, but not quite sure how the white one works though.
I am not sure why bleach is out of the question. What about all fabric bleach? Extra pre-wash in the load?
