How do you get the moldy smell out of used dish towels?

Question:Need some help here. How do I get the smell out?

Answers:
real hot water, and use either-soda-vinegar- boraxo or ammonia. bleach is great too,if they aren't colored.use one cup of one of the above.wash and dry, then remove as soon as they are done drying.

bleach? or just go out and buy a new pack?
I would wash them in hot water. If that does not work your only option might be buying some more.
Bleach them in really hot water. If they are cotton (or pretty much anything) this may fade the colors - but they will smell and be clean.
use a little lysol or pinesol when you rinse it. lysol kills the germs, molds and bacteria that may be the source of the bad smell.

don't worry about the lysol odor while it's wet because once it is dry your dish towel will smell fresh and clean.
Washing them out in plain white vinegar or bleach always works for me.
Wash in really hot water with a cup of vinegar. It will smell really bad when you get it out of the washer ( like vinegar) but it will go away once dry! The vinegar eats the odor.
Wash them in hot water with a detergent that has bleach. Make sure that you remove them from the washer as soon as they're done and put them straight in the dryer.
