Help with "yellow" stains?
Question:Is there anything that gets out those ugly yellow stains that clothes get from hanging for awhile without being worn?I have tried spray and wash and it didnt work -you know the stains get like at the shoulders where they have been on the hanger-thank you
Answers:
soak them in a mixture of 2 cups vinegar to one gallon of water, with the water being as hot as the clothes can take. let soak overnight, then wash with no detergent. If they are completely white clothes, a half cup of dishwasher detergent (electrosol type) as well as a half cup of borax (40 mule team borax sold at most stores) should do the trick. For colored clothes, use a color safe bleach alternative such as clorox II or oxyclean with the borax. Chlorine bleach will take out the color and can actually CAUSE yellowing in some fabrics. If there is any yellow left, hang out in the sun for a while to finish bleaching them out. Hope this helps! :)
They are ruined.
try white vinegar
Soak them in a bucket of warm water with half a cup of bleach and some washing powder and every now and then give it abit of a swirl. No the bleach won't take out the colour of your clothes. Cheers and good luck.
Put a cup of dishwasher powder in the wash along with the soap and let it soak for awhile then wash as usual.
