Does vinegar get smells out of clothes??

Question:Ahh!! I have hyperhydrosis (over sweating disorder) and after awhile all the sweat makes my clothes smell gross. I've heard vinegar works if you put some in the washer with your clothes but i don't know. I could also use other ideas. Thanks.

I hope these simple remedies work. But when I absolutely must get a nasty odor out of something, I use Kids-N-Pets, which I get from Wal-Mart, and now it's available at Target. It's about $4.50 for a quart.

It's amazing. Takes out nasty deep sweat odors, dissolves many food stains, even kills cat urine smell, which is really bad.

It's made of enzymes, not bleach or anything really toxic. Even so, I DO ALWAYS use the double rinse cycle, or even one more extra rinse, and they come out smelling and looking new. I just don't want any residue of the cleaner or the dirt.

They tell you to use that product before you use any other, because some chemicals can "set" the stain. But I don't think vinegar is harsh enough to do that, so if you want to try the cheap way first, then go for it. I just know what works when nothing else will, so I use it first now, lol...

Good Luck!

yes it does. my mom used it all the time with my dad's and brother's clothes.
Have you tried using enzyme products like Oxyclean or Bio-Cat? http://www.bio-cat.com/applicationdetail...
Yes, quite. Also baking soda, it bubbles up to deep clean and it deoderizes. oh, and use hot water to kill germs.
Vinegar does get the smell out of clothes. Baking soda also does too. I put half a cup in loads that I know are smelly.
Yes. Ammonia works too.
yes vinegar works well, also the good old fashioned soap bar soap. The kind for washing clothes. This help´s also with these bad under arm stain´s. Soap your clothes in cold water first, remove from water & rub in the soap. leave free from water for about 1/2 hr, this helps the soap do it´s work. Now back to cpld water , give a little rub. Next add more soap , this time laeving the soap on , pop into your machine . Use a 40ºc program. Hang your clothes outside in the sun . The sun will do the rest of the work for you , by bleaching out any remaining stains , the natural way
White vinegar works very well; also you can try Borax. Some people use baking soda.
