How do i get the burnt black marks from the bottom of the iron please?
Question:
Answers:
Wait until the iron is cool or cold and then just scrape off the black marks with a knife.
I just use a kitchen sponge, use the green side but very gently.
I use a metal scourer but you don't need much pressure, comes off really easy.
Use either lemon juce or cocacola
Heat the iron and let it cool a little, then rub ordinary house soap on the black marks. Wait for it to cool completely and wash the soap off with a wet sponge. The black marks should come off with a little gentle persuasion.
oh dont trip this always happens to mejust get a towel put water on it and wipe it off if this doesnt work then i really dont know it only works for my flat iron for my hair
Use easy off oven cleaner. It removes almost any kind of burnt on mess.
You can go to some grocery stores and certainly at Wal-mart and buy a small tube of stuff that you put on the iron while it's hot and wipe with a wet rag and it will come right off. I've done this a time or two. If you can't find it, look around the isle where they sell irons, and if you still can't find it just ask someone and they will be able to help you.
Have you tried steel wool or an S.O.S. PAD?
Clean a scorched iron plate:
Heat equal parts white distilled vinegar and salt in a small pan. Rub solution on the cooled iron surface to remove dark or burned stains.
Brillo pad.then iron over sheet of waxed paper
Heat the iron to the highest setting. Sprinkle an old piece of rough material (denim, terrycloth) with Club Soda and "iron" the material. This usually removes the stain and will not scratch the irons surface.
Depends how bad they are. If not too bad wash when hot with soapy water on a tea towel. If bad then you can buy a crayon thing that cleans irons. If the black marks have just been done you can iron the side of the ironing board and it may come off.If all else fails buy a new iron for £5 in asda
when the iron is cold use an SOS pad and rinse the soap off.
Or if you have steelwool use that - they both work
