I see green algae stains inside my 5 gallon water bottle, is the water safe to drink?

Question:How would i get rid of it? I tried soaking with CLR, but no luck. any suggestions?

Answers:
Wash it out with Clorox (bleach) and make sure to rinse all of the Clorox out before using it again. Just make sure you get the Clorox all over the inside of the bottle. It will kill all microorganisms rendering it safe for continued use. You can also use Clorox to purify stagnant water from a pond making it safe to drink.

I know some people eat algae but I wouldn't drink out of it.
get a new one asap !! you are POSIONin yourself
get a new one before you get sick
ok thats disgusting why not just buy a new bottle or better yet drink the toilet bowl water its probably safter than that dirty sh*t
Wow.If you are using the same bottle over and over again, try adding bleach and soapy water to the bottle.Buy a long handled glass brush and scrub where you can. This should clean out the bottle.Fill it to the top and let sit at least a day.Use at least a half a bottle of bleach. After a day, dump out the water and flush thoroughly with water. If all else fails buy a new bottle but do not drink the water.Good Luck.
let is soke in bleach water over night it will be gone
and clean again
