How do I get redwine out of my cotton capris?

I use Tide w/Bleach Alternative and have never had any problems removing wine stains. But, you can use an "oxy" wash or peroxide. If there is something that Tide w/bleach won't wash out, I go straight for the oxy wash or peroxide!


Removing Red Wine Stains
Stain Removal Step 1.

Pour cold water onto the stained area as quickly as possible.

Stain Removal Step 2.

Blot with a cloth and sprinkle salt onto the red wine stain. Let it sit for 2-3 minutes.

Stain Removal Step 3.

Rinse with cold water while rubbing out the red wine stain.

Stain Removal Step 4.

Repeat steps 1-3 until no more red wine stain can be removed.

Stain Removal Step 5.

Rub with liquid laundry detergent and allow to stand for several minutes before rinsing thoroughly with cold water.

Stain Removal Step 6.

Apply a spot stain remover stick, spray, or gel and wash according to clothing directions with liquid laundry detergent.
Blot with water if stain remains then:
1.-mix 1 teaspoon of mild clear or white neautral detergent (a mild dishwashing liquid containing no alkalis or bleach) in 1 cup of warm water. Don't use laundry detergent, which contains optical fibers that may discolor fibers.
*3 PERCENT HYDROGEN PEROXIDE IS USEFULL FOR REMOVING THE COLOR FROM RED WINE*
NOTE: DON'T IRON OR HEAT UNTILL STAIN IS GONE!!!
Use White wine to get out Red and if you use salt, use sea salt.
One word Oxyclean! It removed a 2 year old red wine stain from my carpet in less than 30 sec. Just follow the directions on the back of the jar.
