How do you get grease stains out of clothes?
Question:I accidently washed my clothes with a chapstick in the pocket, and one of my dark green shirts has oil stains, which look like they are wet. Ive washed it many times and the stains don't come out. Is there any way to get them out?? Or are they done for?
Answers:
I tried putting slightly watered down toothpaste on the oil spots, letting it try on the fabric (forming cakey white spots). Then putting the shirt in a regular washing machine. And the oils went away. Well, the shirt I had had oils coming from eating naked pasta, and it worked.
Goop is the best for me.
I have always herd that club soda works. Though i have never used it myself. Their are also those Color Friendly bleach sticks from tide and clorox i think are the brands. Hope i could help. :)
Soak and rub the stain with pine-sol and let it sit 30 minutes
in cold water before washing.
I've been having really good luck lately with All Small and Mighty. Take the clothing and paint the All on the stains. Then toss into the washer. Do not dry until you know if the oil came out. If you dried it, you may have set the stain and I don't know of anything that will take that out.
I've had good results with Dawn dish washing liquid on grease stains.
