Question:What things do you do to help you achieve this everyday .
Answers:
I am a stay at home mom of two active little boys. Here is what I do. The boys have a limit of how many toys can be in the livingroom or any other room besides theirs. They are free to switch out toys but must only have a certain limit of toys through out the house. This helps the toy clutter that can happen quicky through out the house if yuo allow it.
No eating is ever done in any room but the kitchen at the table. This takes care of dishes and cups being in other rooms of the house. And also helps to eliminate spills that may happen in other rooms.
When I see something out of place I fix it as soon as I see it. I try to get all the laundry done by noon. While the laundy is running I will clean other rooms.
It really just takes being on your toes pretty much all day. At least here at my house. It's hard to keep a house spotless and organized. But if you have the energy and want it, you can accomplish it by just cleaning, cleaning and cleaning!
It's utterly hopeless! I just try to throw out more than comes in and to wash everything I can as often as possible. I need a new cleaning person, and if I could afford it, I would have her here daily! :)
check out flylady.com -we can do anything for 15 minutes- she has helped thousands if not millions- and is free-- FREE- wonderful--- D
I am a mother who also works full-time outside the home with a DH who also works full-time. We do not have a lot of time during the work week to get things done, but if we put everything off until the weekend, we lose our entire weekend to cleaning and organizing.
I try to do a few small tasks each day to keep things running smoothly and then it is not so overwhelming on the weekend.
I try to keep the kitchen and bathrooms clean and organized, do at least one load of laundry each day, deal with the mail as it comes in and keep things put away when they are not being used.
Making a chore chart really helps. That way, I don't even have to waste time thinking about what I am going to get done that day - it is all planned out ahead of time based on our schedule for that week and when we will have pockets of time.
Routines are the key for me. Flylady's website has been very helpful in getting my routines together and by working at things 15 minutes at a time so you don't crash and burn.
