I still have some old toys from my childhood. What should I do with them?
Question:I'm 22 by the way, and still have this puppet from peewee's playhouse, a big bird doll that reads stories from a cassette player (on it's butt), lots of T-ball trophies, and gobs and gobs of stuffed animals stored in my closet. Why I am keeping them I am not sure. They're definately not in mint condition and are coated with dust. What should I do with them? Part of me says keep to show to your kids, and part says "Why on earth do you still have these?" Help me!

I say get rid of them! You can't haul everything around the rest of your life. You might try selling some on Ebay. Sometimes people buy old toys just to reminisce. Otherwise, just give them to Goodwill so other kids can enjoy them.
if you keep them, you might end up with a messy room full of dusted stuffs and may harm your health.
send them to orphans, they are more useful there
If they are still in reasonable condition, why not clean them up a bit, and take them to your nearest children's hospital?
I would keep a few and give them to my kids when they were old enough, donate the rest to goodwill or if there are some kids around your neighborhood that wants them askd their parnts if they can and let them have them, but since you have had them thi slong i definately would safe some for your kids:)
Just a quick note. Someone recommended giving the toys to a hospital, but as far as I know, hospitals can only take brand new toys, they can't risk the germs being brought to already sick children. I think, if you have some things that are precious to you, keep them. If they're in such a bad shape that they're no good to you or a child, throw them out. If they're in good shape, wash and donate them to a place like good will.
Clean them as well as you can, then wrap and store them away.
Chances are your kids will never be interested in them, but it will be great for you to go down "memory lane" in 20-30 years time.
THEN you can throw them out.
donate to a childrens chairity
I would list them on ebay. Someone will be looking for collectables.
Cheers!
