What's a good vacuum to get?
Question:I need to buy a new upright vacuum, but don't know which ones are the best... any recommendations?
Answers:
i have a VAX upright cleaner, its like a Dyson in style but its not heavy like a Dyson and it cost me 99 pounds.
it has a dust filter so no bags.
the suction is great Ive had mine for a year now and its well worth the money.
i got mine from Argos www.argos.co.uk
Dyson are good but they are expensive and heavy. I do however think they do a great job.
Yeah, Dyson will be the best, but like the other person said, they're expensive. Go to Sears and check out what they have. I recently read the top three in Consumer Reports were a Dyson, a Kenmore and a Hoover. Sears will carry all three.
HOOVER!!
Dysons are always the best hoovers to get!
I have 2!
One for upstairs and one for downstairs! They work a treat!
I love my Dyson, its great at cleaning , easy to maintain, simple to repair !!!
By all means the Kirby rocks. You don't have to spend a grand for a new self-propelled one either. Go to a Kirby dealer and pick out a refurbished used one. They last just about forever and do a great job!
Miele. Easy to manouvre and do an excellent job. Would never buy anything else. They have one which is specially designed to pick up animal hair as well (I didn't buy that one cos I ain't got no animals!!)
Dyson's are soooooo rubbish. The upright ones are rubbish for the stairs even with that telescopic tube. They weigh a tonne as well. My mum had one and it was such a cumbersome thing that she bought a small hoover which didn't give her the arm muscles of a bodybuilder!!!
get a dyson they get all the dirt out of the carpet. when i first bought a dyson and hoovered up i couldnt believe v the amount of dirt still left in my carpet that the other hoover had left behind
Dyson. I have a smaller hoover for upstairs but the Dyson which is VERY HEAVY for downstairs but it does an excellent job and gets all the dust and dirt from deep down in the carpets and the carpets look so much better after using it. |It is expensive but you might be able to get a second hand one for about £45 from e bay. I almost got rid of mine which I got from my brother after he passed away but am glad I didnt now.
I love my Dyson!! You can see the state of your bed and upholstery after vacuuming it!! Dyson is the best, I swear by it!! If I could afford it , i would buy a Dyson washing machine too.
I have a kirby with all attachments. The thing does anything you want it to and will last forever.
If you really want to get a good one. I recommend a Simplicity. It is one of the best on the market. The attachments are built in and it is light weight. It has a good filtering system. The only places that sells this brand is janitorial supply store or where I live a local sweeper business. I have cleaned houses & offices for over 20 years I have used many brands. Eureka is not bad brand . We have used hoovers too. Kriby's are good sweeper. My grandmother had one. It is durable and last long. The only think the Kirby for me is hard to push at time epsecially thick carpet.
You need to ask yourself a few questions, do I have allergies, do I want to waste money, do I want my carpet to remain dirty?
Upright vacs do not work. Dyson, Hoover, Kirby, they do not work. None of these units have the power to clean deep into your carpet. They all loose power quickly. Even the Dyson. I have put it to the test directly next to the unit I use. My children have allergies, as do I, and we use a unit called the Tri Star. This is the only unit that I have used and 20 mins. later my house is not dusty. Unlike uprights this unit does not pump out dust and dirt as I use it. Uprights do this from day one. Do not waste your money on an upright you will need to replace in a year or so. Spend your money wisely. This unit has an awesome R.O.I. The people came to my home and showed me the differance. Try calling 1-800-854-6185 to have a demo done for you. this number will get you in contact with the closest people to you.
I have a Kirby. I love it, but it is a little pricey. There is also the Dyson. If you think about it, there is a lot of nasty stuff in our carpet. You need something with a lot of power and suction. If your vacuum looses suction it doesn't do it's job.
I have a Bissel bagless and it does great. You can buy them at Walmart for about $60.00.
Dyson. Gave me a shock and a half when I first used mine. The amount of dirt the others had not collected filled the container. Reliable as well.
Dyson. They do different types too.
I would never go back to a standard vacuum again.
But they are expensive and weighty.
The best vacuum I have ever had, including Dyson, is Sebo. It is German, excellent suction, comes in some really trendy colours and patterns.
When you need to vac under furniture it will lay completely flat and still work. Dysons don't go under furniture. It will come apart to become a hand held vac for the stairs and for the car.
John Lewis sell them for approximate £225. A bigger industrial machines are available for more money.
I have just got a " MEILE" absolutely brilliant always had dyson did research MEILE came out top
Definately a Dyson, I wouldn't use anything else. Easy to use, and maintain. If you have pets they are fantastic for getting up hair.
Dyson Animal works great with pet hair
one that sucks.wahey
Emer Donatello is great for wood floors
Its gotta be a dyson. Stick to the basic model to keep the cost down. As long as you regularly check the filter and tubes etc for clogs the dysons never lose their suction. Ive had mine for 4 years now and its still as good as the day i bought it!.
