How do I change the water pressure for my washer? My friend's water pressure is like at the laundromat?

Question:

Answers:
If your waterpressure to your house is low there is nothing you can do with the washer. However, there is a valve that you can turn -one for hot and one for cold, to increase the rate/volume/flow of water. If they are not readily visible you will want to carefully pull your washer away from the wall and look behind to see the knobs. Then just adjust to your preference.

hi there!
Just a quick note to let you know that it's the water pressure coming into your HOME that makes the difference in the water pressure coming into your washer or sinks or bathtubs etc. Maybe you can have a plumber check your water pressure to be sure it's where it should be. Actually, your friend's water pressure might be too high and that can cause all sorts of problems, trust me. PLUS, sometimes different washing machines might have a different method of filling with water and I am sure they're all different when it comes to hoses etc. That wouldn't affect the water pressure but if you think about a water hose outside and how you can control the "pressure" of water that is coming out by twisting the nozzle..well, maybe that is what the difference is. BUT, you cannot change that on your washing machine. You'd just have to get a machine like your friend's machine. It might just have a different kind of water delivery spout. Good luck and call a plumber to be sure!!
by opening or closing the water shut off valve behind the washer where the house water goes into the washer, if you have hard water there could be mineral build up in the lines slowing the water down though.
