Take something that will keep the plastic down in very hot water, Spray the label with vinegar and then immerse the plastic tub, bottle , etc. in very hot water and leave it until it comes off by itself, we are always in a rush to get the label off, myself included, that we don't give it enough time to work.
Peel off what you can then try rubbing alchohol (isopropyl alcohol). On some plastics Mr. Clean Magic Erasers will do the trick too!

Maybe goo-gone would work. Just check the back of the bottle to make sure it is safe to use on plastic first.
Steel wool should work
Goo Gone works well. Just use a scrub brush and goo gone. I hope this helps. =D
peel off what you can and rub with cooking oil it will loosen the rest
WD40 is all you need. Spray the sticker, let it soak through, then wash in hot soapy water. WD40 removes anything with adhesive.
