Cleaning white roller blinds!?
Question:I'm getting new windows fitted tomorrow and have just taken down my white roller blinds in prep for the guys coming to do the work. They are really filthy although didn't seem it when they were up!
Is there anyway i can get them cleaned? Would a dry cleaners do it? Can't really afford new ones.

what i do with mine is fill my bath up with hot water and add washing powder and a tiny drop of bleach and leave them to soak till clean then rinse them through and hang them ova your washing line its so easy and it works every time butn if they have metal bits on dont use the bleach
Sorry to be boring - but I'd try and do them in a washing up liqid bubble bath with maybe a sponge to scrub. Id try and avoid getting the metal parts wet though. An then hang them over the washing line. Otherwise maybe just a hoover down would do?
Cool, I am not the only one who does my blinds in the bath tub.
Yes, I agree with the girls on this one. In the bathtub, overnight soak, then hang to dry.
Easy!
take blinds off the cardboard roller 1st... you can re-atach after cleaning blinds simple with double sided sticky tape.. Get some vanish oxy action.. put a scoup full into a shallow bath tub of hot water.. swish it around till it goes a little milky looking cos of fizzing action.. pop your blind into the bath tub and swish it around in the oxy soloution. even rubbing gently if you got stubborn stains.. then leave to soak for say about 2/3 hours... rinse your blind off.. and drape over the bath or a shower rail .. or leave flat till almost dry. reatach top of blind using double sided tape.. make sure you do it right way otherwise your blind will fall open in opposite direction after you hang it. good luck and hope your new windows look great xxx
Remove the blinds from the rollers, wash in the bathtub, then, re-stiffen with blind stiffener or 3:1 water:PVA.(PVA adhesive)
