What is the name of the disease where a person doesn't try to clean.?
Question:her house smells. The fridge has roten food in it. Mold is growing in er fridge and in her dirty dishes.
Answers:
It could be diogenes syndrome, a disease of extreme self-neglect most often seen in the elderly. It is usually present in conjunction with compulsive hoarding disorder. These syndromes are not well understood but are mental disorders which can be treated to some extent through medications and behavior therapy.
I've included some links to more information. If you know someone who is exhibiting behavior which is dangerous to their own well-being or the health of family members living with them, please consider contacting a mental health professional for evaluation.
duh.... lazy slob
Could be several things. What are the other symptoms? Lack of energy? Chronic pain? Wanting to spend all day in bed? Does she forget things or have difficulty concentrating on tasks? Is she busy drinking or doing drugs instead of cleaning?
Some possibilities come to mind:
Apathy (aka lazy slob)
Depression (too sad/tired to care)
Alcoholism (too drunk to care)
Drug addiction (too stoned to care)
Flu (too busy barfing to care and not hungry enough to check the fridge within the last week or so)
Senility (what is a clean house anyway? what was I doing? do I live here?)
Disaster victim (no electricity/water to clean)
Workaholic (too busy working 18-20 hour days, 6 or 7 days a week, outside the home, to clean)
Angry spouse (he won't clean so I won't clean till he does)
Anxiety disorder - for a complete list of all phobias, see link below. Includes fear of chemicals, fear of bathing & cleaning, etc. Most are rare.
It's called a HUSBAND.
