What's the best way to clean a deep fryer??

Question:

Answers:
Dawn dish soap and a plastic scubber. If that doesn't get it, use oven cleaner. I have had my Fry Daddy for years and after a while, even Dawn won't cut it. Just don't let the oven cleaner dry. Make sure to wash it thoroughly with dish soap after using the oven cleaner.

Dawn dishwashing liquid and lots of elbow grease.
The best thing I have found is Greased Lightening & hot water. The grease just drips off!! You can buy it in any Dollar Store for $1.50 per bottle. Great Stuff!!
I have found that Dawn with Bleach works extremely well. Let the deep fryer soak with water and the dawn with bleach and then use a scrub brush, but watch and make sure that you don't scratch the surface of your deep fryer, and scrub as hard as you can. I hope this helps. =D
If yours is like mine then you empty the grease out (of course) and take steel wool to it. I use SOS pads. It takes all of the crusted/dry grease off. Mine is metal, if yours is plastic then I would get an engine degreaser (I know sounds weird but it works!) dilute it a bit and the grease should wipe right off.
Any standard degreaser from the store will work, the trick is to use drywall screens for the scrubbing. You can find them in the paint area. I work in a restaurant and when we run out of grill screens they are a cheap and effective way to clean.
