Do jeans shrink in the dryer?
Question:i'm going out in a bit and i needed my jeans to be dry but i forgot to take them out of the washing machine...whats the best way to dry then quickly, and will they shrink if i put them in the tumble dryer?? thank you =]

yeah they will shrink abit in the dryer. try putting them on a lower temperature if you need to dry them quick. but i find with my jeans that after they have shrunk in the dryer if i wear them for a day there soon back to normal

Normally, jeans don't shrink very much at all!! if you are worried about it, though, you should buy "pre-shrunk jeans", just in case! but, dryer is your best bet, for speed anyway! usually jeans shrink a teensy bit, but denim stretches and soon, after you've had them on a short while, you can breathe again!
if they are old navy jeans they will shrink..(I used to work there)
I put everything in the dryer but some jeans shrink..100% cotton and stretch jeans shrink...if you leave them in for a long time...like 60 minutes or something like that they will shrink..other than that it shouldnt if its not 100% cotton or stretch jeans.

Yes they will shrink but definately not permanately they will be tighter when you put them back on but within a few hours (probably less) they will fit fine again.
All new jeans shrink in my experience. Maybe dry 15 minutes and check and 15 more and check but don't dry all the way if they fit perfect and have never been dried, because they are sure to shrink some.
they do shrink a bit but not much. my jeans are always a bit tight when i get them out of the dryer but then they stretch back out again
I use the tumble dryer for my jeans and have never had a problem and they are a lot softer to wear.
Jeans shrink progressively in the dryer but they won't shrink too much in one drying. You should be fine.
