What is the best way to remove molds in the wardrobe? They keep returning after I have cleaned them.?
Question:These are greenish molds. I have tried using Pledge but it did not work. The molds usually occur after weeks of wet weather.
Answers:
Pledge is great for dusting, but not for mold. I am assuming
the wardrobe is wood?? I live in a damp area and sometimes my chest of drawers gets a greenish mold on the
back where it is against an outside wall. I mix a warm soapy
water mixture with a touch of bleach (to kill the mold) and
gently sponge the green mold off. Then I use a clean cloth to
dry the wood, followed by a lemon oil to polish the wood up.
Wood can be washed, you just don't want ot soak it or leave
it wet, and always oil it afterwards.
Scrub them with bleach and water, this kills the molds...and if you are not opposed to painting the inside of the wardrobes there is a specific paint that will keep them from ever coming back..Here in Canada it is called BIN, but ask at your local paint store, it works wonderful, I had the same problem and I used this after I scrubed with bleach and water. No more mold!
sunlight is d answer ya wordrobe needs some sunlight. so during the day u should leave it open so it can get some fresh breeze n a lil sunlight n dont put damp clothes in ya wardrobe cuz damp clothes n darkness attracts molds
try lemon juice. amonia will also work. I believe you can mix the two.
