How to remove ink stain from white counter top (in the Kitchen)...?
Question:There is an ink stain (it was transfered from a plastic wrap with writing + water)I tried s.o.s pads. It made it lighter but it's still very visible...any good tips on how to remove it? Thanks in advance.
Answers:
try spraying a bit of hairspray on it and scrub it lightly see if that helps..
also trying baking soda or salt (mil abrasives) may help to.
clorox bleach pens! They get anything out.
Use alcohol or hairspray. Just spray it on and it should dissolve instantly.
Try using a Mr. Clean magic eraser. All you have to do is get it wet and scrub. You can buy them pretty much everywhere for a few dollars, and you can keep using it until it dissolves completely. You'll be amazed at what it can clean up. Stains in the bathtub that scrubbing doesn't help, blue marks on a freshly painted wall from where someone threw a leatherbound ditionary at their brother (guilty). It just works too well.
Methylated spirit removes ink and grass stains
I've always been a fan of a product called "Goof Off". It's some of the best stuff out there for problems just like yours. I'm not sure if it'll work for your counter-tops but I have gotten stains off of my bathtub and gum out of my carpet with this stuff. If you have any rubbing alcohol at home, try that 1st. I have a 7 yr old who wrote her name on my expensive wood coffee table with a sharpie. Her teacher recommended that I try that and it worked without damage to my table. Just put a little bit of alcohol on a cotton ball and try it.
