How do I keep my laminate floor clean and sticky-free?
Question:My laminate floor never seems to be completely clean. If I wear socks in the house my feet sick to the floor as I walk and they get grubby really quickly, even if I've just cleaned it.
I've been using an all purpose cleaner (diluting it in a bucket of water) and mopping but it just isn't getting rid of the stickiness. Please help!!

My entire home is laminate.
First I dry swiffer the floor first to get rid of dust and hair and then I mop with lemon pine-sol to get rid of any remaining grime. The combination leaves my floor spotless and smelling delicious.
The idea when you mop is to wipe, not circulate the dirt. I use a rubber bottom squeegie stick with a cloth so I can remove the cloth when it gets dirty and rinse it clean, then re-absorb the clean soapy solution as I go along. This way youre actually cleaning and not just moving the dirt around.
Warm water with a bit of white vinegar.
first try another cleaner, if you know the brand of flooring contact them and see what they advise
nothing will help if it is really inexpensive flooring
First try changing your mop head. I tend to use the kitchen sink rather than a bucket as I can continue to rinse in fresh water each time I squeeze the yucky water out. Ammonia diluated in water will strip your floor. You must go back over it with a clean mop and cool water to rinse it. I then take old towels and completely dry the floor. I would then suggest using white vinegar and water solution thereafter. YOu can add a little lemon juice to ease the smell.
try different varieties of cleaning products and observe closely to find the one(s) that works best
also try change the mop head at least once in two months...
instead of mop, use a surface wipes and c if it works betta than mop.
It sounds like the cleaner is the problem. Rinse with plain water to see if the stickiness goes away.
