Down comforter smells.?
Question:I washed my feather and down comforter for the first time and it REEKS! I dried it and now have it outside sprayed with Febreeze so the sun can finish drying it. Is there anything else I can do to get rid of that nasty wet feather smell?

The feather smell should go away after it's been in the air and sun for awhile.It needs to be completely dry for that to happen so don't spray anymore Febreeze until it is.
i didnt know you could wash those o_0 i thought you had to take those comforters to a cleaner place and get it professionaly done...
Try to air dry it.. You may have ruined it. Down comforters need to be dry cleaned. Or if you have stains you want to spot wash it. To protect it in the future get a duvet cover.
Quit with the febreeze already - that stuff smells nastier than wet feathers anyway!
