Mr.Clean magic eraser.They work wonders.

Get elmers glue and windex, mix it up in a blender and absorb it with a sponge and rub until your fingers are raw
You can use 409 or Fantastic if you don't have Magic Eraser.

Also, make 'whoever' made the mess help with the clean-up process so that 'Maid' doesn't get stamped on your forehead.
Mr clean magic eraser my daughter had all types of things on her wall used it came right off.
WD-40 will take it off.
if magic eraser doesn't work, try cleaning it with lighter fluid, if that doesn't work get a product called goo gone.
First, a Magic eraser. Second, throw the crayons away and buy crayola washables. They are the only crayons I allow in the house. They are WONDERFUL! Third,I am with Jenny D. make the artist help with the clean-up. My now 2 1/2 y/o daugther thought the world was her canvas; table legs, tile floor, doors.. ARgh! Everytime, I would have her help me clean it up. Sometimes, I would even have her scrub on things I knew would not come clean, like marker on the basement door. She no longer colors on anything but paper, and occassionally herself when she gets ahold of an ink pen :) Good Luck~!
WD-40 works everytime and most likely you already have some in the garage
magic eraser works good.
Mr. Clean magic eraser with some bleach or other cleaner on it.
