Who to clean white shoestrings?

I clean mine by tiying them together and putting them in the wash with the whites. I add bleach to the whites and then they go in the dryer. I'm 33 and have been cleaning shoe strings for a while now.
let it sit in a bowl of bleach and hot water for a bit than take them out and scrub them a bit with a toothbrush and rinse. Or for 2 dollars buy a new pair :)
