What can I use to clean my hardwood floors and give them a nice shine?
Question:I've been using Orange Glo but it just makes them dull :(
Answers:
This is really good for hardfloors. My hardwood floors shine lasts for days. It's called Murphy oil soap. It smells really really nice too. You can also use it for the wood furniture w/o it damaging and it doesn't get dull . Try it!! Its grrrrreat!
floor buffer
I like Scotts Liquid Gold or Howard's Restore a Finish. Both leave a great shine, but I do Howard's every now and again because it also hides imperfections, like scratches from the dog's claws. Plus, both moisturize the wood which keeps it looking shiney and clean longer.

I've used Murphy's Oil Soap with nice results...however, someone told me that was bad on hardwood.
There are some nice shine products sold at Home Depot. I have not used them yet...but they should be good.
go to a hardware store and ask the people that work there...or walmart..which ever and ask them that you want something to make your floor shine.
I'm glad you mentioned orange glow -- I was going to try that. Mine stay fairly shiny just by vacuuming and at times damp mopping. They were sanded and finished with a light varnish. Maybe it's time to (ugh!) refinish them.
First I clean with my Swiffer then I use Future floor wax for hardwood floors. Orange Glo should work but maybe you need to swiffer first. OK?
I use Mop-N-Glo, Future or Brite. These are made for old-fashioned floors that need shine, and they work fabulously on hard-wood floors!
I clean the floor with Murphy's Oil Soap first, then rinse, then use Brite and my floor stays shiny for a long time!! Even through subsequent cleanings!
I add the Brite to my floor once a year, and it lasts!!
I use Murphy's oil soap. If you want it to shine Home Depot sells the hard wood floor shiner.
