Dumb question, I know, but where do you put the vinegar when using it in your dishwasher??..?

Question:How much and do you use it with your dishes in the dishwasher?

Answers:
Vinegar in a dishwasher won't do much for your dishes, it gets too diluted down. But if you really think you want to use it you would just poor it into the bottom of the machine and start it up. About the only thing it will do is maybe remove some of the soap scum that might be built up around the edges, not likely to do much more than smell up your kitchen.

Put it in a cup and set it in the top rack.
Just put it in the bottom it won't hurt anything.
I use vinegar in my dishwasher every so often to help cut out the soap scum that builds up. Vinegar will get your glassware squeaky clean.

I fill a 2 cup measuing cup with white vinegar, and empty it into the bottom of the dishwasher before I start it.

Someone mentioned the smell. If you can stand the initial strong odor, vinegar will eat up bad smells in the air too. I put a bowl in the room when smokers come visit me. When it's in a bowl in an open room, it's not so over powering.

Just throw your vinegar in the bottom of your dishwasher, close the door, start her up, and watch those dishes shine!
Just pour 1/2 cup in the bottom.
In the soap cup on the top rack or on the door where you normaly put the soap.
