get yourself a container that will fit under your bed for bulky items like sweaters and stuff. fold your jeans or if you must hang them use strng hangers and hang 2 pairs of jeans per hanger. For my fiance (his closet is small too) I hang his clothes in outfits so that he pretty much doubles his closet space by hanging pants and a shirt on one hanger. he also has a small shelf that i put all his winter clothes in. i hope i have been of help to you.
I can suggest this. Try folding a few shirt´s, like a few you don´t wear very often , this will give you extra space to hang the ones you use more oftener.
Dry cleaning bags will help solve this problem. Whenever I have had small closet space, I keep all of my clothing in dry cleaning bags after laundering and ironing. I place the arms crossed in the front and make certain that the hanger arms are long enough to reach the seam connecting the arms to the body of the shirt to avoid shoulder bumps and wrinkling. You can buy large rolls of preforated bags at the dry cleaners. Plus, they really help keep dust from accumulating on the garments that are stored for a while.
Try a portable wardrobe. Its a closet that has a zipper up box around it, Too keep the dust out.
Its basically a closet on wheels...
Obviously you've got a lot of clothes in there... are they all summer... or do you have all your shirts hung from every season. I would suggest hanging only those shirts that are seasonal. The rest you can fold and put in a plastic bin with a lid and store it in an attic or storage room. If they are all this season, I would take out the ones you wear less often and fold them. If you wear any button ups with a sport coat then, ironing the whole thing is pointless anyway, so you could fold them as well. Be careful when you hang them and do so neatly if it's crowded in there. If necessary, you can buy a "stand-up" closet, which is really just a free standing bar, sometimes wrapped in a clear plastic for protection, to hang your clothes on. If all else fails disect your wardrobe and rid yourself of random clothes that do not match anything, or do not fit, and donate them to a local church, a Goodwill, or the Salvation Army.
I would love to help you hun but you know what my room is like, so i wouldn't trust my judgement! lol
take the shirt out the night before.
Give it some Good Shakes to loosen the wrinkles
take your shower with it hanging in the bathroom with you to "dampen" it , or lightly spray it with water, or a dewrinkling solution
shake out the rest of (hopefully, the rest of... ;) the wrinkles.
you could fold up all of your denim jeans/shorts and stack them on a top shelf in your closet.
Someone mentioned "Space saver bags"! These bags do work, and you can stack them, slide them under the bed. there great..

you can also make your own space saver bags out of clear/white trash bags, sucking the air out with a vaccum, and securing it tightly.. they work as well... and are alot cheaper...
