How to get rid of mould from rubber backed curtains?


Question:my daughter has a dooner cover made out of rubber backed curtain material we have moved and it has been packed in a box that has got wet. the cover is now aprox half covered in black mould and ideas of how to get it out would be great

Answers:
Get a sponge and scrub the backing using 1/2 clorox 1/2 water mixture. You need to KILL that mold and bleach will sure do it.

Use a tub and tile mildew cleaner. After it's gone, you can gently rub a small amount of Lotrimin AF into the rubber backing. Repeat at the beginning of every season.
