Hydrogen peroxide.
just wash it in cold water and powder laundry detergent. That always works like a charm.
tide to go pen
use COLD water
Hot will set the stain
Shout it out. Seriously, if you have Shout it should work on the spot. I had a bloodstain from my finger on my shirt a couple of weeks ago, bought some Shout wipes, and the stain virtually disappeared.

But I think you're going to have to wash to whole bedspread anyway. Make sure to use cold water - hot water will set the stain it because blood is a protein.
Water and a regular bar of hand soap works fine. Wet the spot and rub soap on it. Rub the spot with a wet wash cloth until it's gone.
peroxide just dab it on it will foam like it does on a cut, just pour a small amount a little at a time until the stain is gone. The peroxide actually "eats" the bio tissues of the blood (it does the same thing when you use it for first aid -that's how it kills all the bad bacteria but it actually kills a little bit of your skin and blood too -that's why it is diluted check the bottle pure peroxide will literally melt your skin off) it wont harm the fabric either. I use it for menstrual accidents all the time. One thing is though if you have washed it, the peroxide will not work, the stain is permanent as far as I know.
Cold water and salt
I had the same thing. Use 1tsp laundry soap or Dishwashing liquid soap, and 1 cup Peroxide. Cover the stain with dry Oxy Clean powder, then saturate the stain with the mixture. Let it sit for a few minutes, and blot dry. Saturate the stain again with warm water, and lay flat, outside over a railing or over the deck to let it air dry. See if that works. It did for me.
soak the stain in ammonia for 20 minutes. Rinse and wash in cold water. If the stain is not completely gone, wet it with hydrogen peroxide and let it dry. Check the Internet for "stain removal" recipes.
try peroxide. we use it all the time in the medical profession. if it is really small, you might want to use a Q-tip soaked in peroxide so you don't discolor the rest of it.
Hydrogen Peroxide. If you put it in a bowl and then soak the small blood stain it will come all out. Then you put it in the wash like normal.
*Put a clean folded towel under the bedspread while it is on your bed.

*Put a few drops of hydrogen peroxide on the blood stain and let it bubble away for about 30 seconds.

*Use Q-tips (swirling in circles) to soak up some of the peroxide and debris.

*Add a little more peroxide and repeat the above actions until the blood has disappeared. Then blot the top of the bedspread with a clean, wet cloth.
