Help ~ how do I get rid of the smell of sour milk from my carpet.?

Question:left a glass of milk out this morning ~ cats have knocked it over so its had all day to soak in and it stinks ~ yugh!!

Answers:
Sprinkle it with bicarbonate of soda, leave to dry and vaccum up.

you can wipe with a solution if Milton, or any other kind of sterilizing solution used for sterilizing new born baby´s drinking bottles. This will clean and rid the smell of milk
Buy some Shake n vac, its amazing, you pour it on your carpet and it smells lovely, then you hoover over it. You can get it from anywhere really tescos, asda etc
try resolve carpet cleaner
Spray it on the carpet and then get a towel and scrub the carpet and then let dry and vaccum
Club soda works great. Just pour a small amount on the spill and blot it up. Do not rub it!
If it doesn't work try vinegar and water. I know that sounds crazy but it works. The vinegar nuetralizes the smell and the vinegar smell goes away in an hour or so.
Give the carpet a really good clean - with a carpet cleaner if you have one or can rent one inexpensively that's the only way to get rid of the smell.

However, if you just want to cover it up - shake'n'vac is good as is febreeze for carpet smells.
"richmond girl" got it Bi-carb and a hoover.
soak with club soda then wet vac and when dry sprinkle with bicarb and dry vac
Search the Internet
Give it a good clean (if you haven't already) and then sprinkle it with bicarbonate of soda. Leave it over night and hoover it up. Repeat if needed.
