Answers:
The jewelry department at any department store has jewelry cleaner, or take it to an optical shop that has an ultrasound machine, that's what jewellery's us.

Toothbrush and toothpaste are the best cleaners for jewelry. it will shine it to look brand new.
you never know what you've got, until you've cleaned it with TARNEX !
1 cup warm water
1 TBS ammonia
small squirt of Ivory dish detergent

* Mix ingredients then soak jewelry, clean with a soft jewelry brush. Dry fully before storing pieces

If it is silver or silver tone (without stones) try this. Take a large pan, cover the bottom with aluminum foil shiny side up. Pour boiling water of it and sprinkle borox into it stir to dissolve. Place jewelry on the foil and turn after 60 sec. Buff with a soft cloth. I love this method and It is effective for anything silver.
Try rubbing on toothpaste and then rubbing it off.

I have used toothpaste for many problems, I don't think it will hurt.
