The best way to prevent this is to wash glasses by hand. Dishwasher detergent is never totally rinsed off dishes and this leaves a white film. Once your glasses have the film the best thing to use is BonAmi powdered cleanser. It is the only powdered cleanser that will not scratch glass, chrome or anything you use it on. I've used it on glasses and it works great.
My mommy-in-law told me that if the glass begins to look foggy or a little yellowish fill it with half cold water (not ice cold, but not warm!) and put 2 cap-fulls of bleach and let them sit for several hours. It does the trick for me!!
Use a good quality dishwashing liquid, and RINSE WELL
you can buy lemi-shine at walmart- it's in the same aisle w/ dw detergent
rince with a solution of 3 parts water to 1 part vinegar, they with sparkle. try it on crome bathroom fixtures also, its great!
my mum told me to wash normally in the sink with dishwashing liquid in hot water, then rinse again in hot water, but dont wipe the glass just let it drip dry. hopefully it works for you coz it does for us.
spray with lime away, let sit awhile and rinse. Then hand wash as usual.
Wash them in hot water but be sure to rinse them in cold. Hot water is a reason for the foggy dirty look.
just hot water and dish soap work for me
You can either use a gentle scouring pad dipped in vinegar, or soak them in a sink full of very warm / hot water with liquid detergent and about 1/2 cup cloudy ammonia.
Rinse well ... dry and buff with a soft cloth, and they will sparkle.
