What is the best way to clean a silver chain?

Question:Make it shine and using home remedies

Answers:
toothpaste and a toothbrush - I clean all my jewelry this way.

toothpaste works good, so does baby powder.
If you don't want to take it to a Jewlery Store then my best bet would be for you to put the chain in a bowl full of COCA COLA, the acid in the coke should clean the chain for you, it works!!
Take a metal pan, line the bottom with aluminum foil, cover the foil with 2-4 inches of water and add 2 tablespoons each of salt and baking soda. Bring the water to a boil, place the chain in the water. After 5 minutes, remove the chain and gently polish with a soft cloth. The tarnish will come right off, and your chain will be shiny and good as new!
They make a cloth just for silver jewelry. You can get it at walmart for a couple bucks. It has one side for cleaning the other side for polishing. Works great, you'd be surprised at all the gunk that comes off of there!
