How do I remove party popper stains from beige carpet??

Question:During a party, people used party poppers. Some of the streamers apparently got wet and stained our carpet in several locations (mostly purple, some yellow). I have tried regular spot/carpet cleaner on some smaller stains but have not had any luck. I have not tried to tackle the larger areas for fear of setting the stain or making them worse. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks.

Perhaps the remedy for marker will work on this... Good Luck!:)

Cleaning carpet stains left by permanent marker isn't difficult if you act swiftly before the stain has a chance to set in. First try hairspray or rubbing alcohol. Spray directly onto the stain to saturate and let sit for thirty to sixty minutes. Blot with a damp sponge or cloth until the stain is removed. If this didn't work, you can try a non-acetate nail polish remover. You may want to test this in a hidden area first however, to be sure you won't damage the carpet further.

whenever i have a tough stain on my carpet i use powered oxy clean. make a paste out of it and put it on the stain. wait for 15 minutes or so, and then flush it out with water while dabbing it with a towel. works every time!!
