Grease Stain Removal from Carpet
Try this tip when cleaning carpet stains: Apply a generous layer of baking soda or cornstarch to greasy spots and leave overnight. After vacuuming, the grease should be absorbed. If there is any residue or discoloration left behind, blot with vinegar until the stain is lifted. A dishwashing liquid or detergent specializing in removing grease will also remove carpet stains that are greasy. Make a solution of half detergent and half water and spray directly onto the stain. Blot until the stain is removed. Blot again with a damp sponge to rinse.
Good Luck! =)
Did you try baking soda? It absorbs things good.
this sounds like a tough problem. But you could try RESOLVE it removes just about ANYTHING from carpet. Can buy in a grocery store in USA. You apply and then let DRY and vacuum up the remnants. Cheap enough to try and should not make it worse.
You can try to mix a little dawn soap in warm water, pour it on to the spot in the rug and then cover with a towel and step on towel to soak the baby oil in the towel. Or you can mix the dawn with warm or hot water and take a cleaning brush and brush it into the spot and then cover with a towel to dry or rub towel to dry. You could ask a carpet store for help they might be able to give you idea's on some shampoo's that might work better.
Blot the stain with paper towels until you adsorb as much as possible. Cover with corn starch and leave over night and then vacuum up. If there is still a stain, then apply dawn dish soap and scrub until the oil is gone, and rinse is well. Oil is a tough one if is got into the carpet pad, since once you think you got it all up, it will come back to the surface from the padding.
dawn dish soap works great for taking oily stains out of clothing so try that and see what happens
First, try nail polish remover with no conditioners in it. Blot the stain, dont pour it directly on. If that does not work, use dry cleaning fluid by applying with a white towel (again, not pouring on) and blotting.
Oil & water don't mix, so you will first need to blot the oil with a cleaning solvent. I recommend Oops, Goo Gone, Afta, dry cleaning fluid. Followup by blotting with a little dishliquid water solution. The, blot area with 50/50 white vinegar/water solution to rinse the area and remove residue. Always blot and try not to saturate the carpet. Good Luck! -Nay
