Listen to this my neighbor's mother got a job at a dry cleaners,she likes to go out to night clubs,dinner etc.
Question:instead of buying a new outfit she will actually pick out an outfit from a customer's dry cleaning and wear it.is that illegal?

That is just gross. I don't know about illegal, but definitely unethical. Someone needs to inform the owner of the dry cleaners.

I don't know if it is illegal but I would think that it is. She is taking the chance that she ruins someone's clothing.. some of which could be extremely expensive. I know I wouldn't want someone using my clothing like that.
Also consider this: some clothes are being cleaned for special occasions: weddings, anniversary parties, funerals etc. Imagine if she ruins them and the person is left in a bind at the time of the event. I think it's terrible what she is doing and I'd report her.
I think it's unethical. The owner of the Cleaners needs to know. He should be contacted immediately. Does she clean the clothes when she's done?
It depends on the contract that the dry cleaner offers. Since most people don't read the contract they could put anything in there... things like “Cloths are placed in full custody of dry cleaner to be handled at dry cleaner's digression” and then another line saying that they cleaner doesn't have any responsibility if something happens.
Yes, it's illegal unless she has the customer's permission. Got to say though, it's darn clever of her--'til she runs into the real owner while out clubbing. LOL!
