Anyone know how to get blood outta pants?
Question:I have tried everything and nothing seems to work! Got any ideas?
Answers:
I know how to get blood out of clothing. I always use hydrogen peroxide and it always works. What you do is get a container that will hold the pants in it and poor the hydrogen peroxide over it and let it set for a while. Hydrogen peroxide will get even old blood stains out of clothing.
cold water - hot water just sets the stain
Use a liquid concentrate and soak it in cold water than wash.
denatured alcohol
My husband recently had a big grease stain on a shirt that had been there awhile and we thought it would never come out, but he heard about mixing some baking soda and lemon juice to make a paste, apply it and let it dry then wash, and it came out. if that doesn't work for blood, did you ever try oxy clean? It is amazing.
Wring them out, and collect in a sterile container. Should keep for a week or two in the fridge. NOTE: Disregard if you're a vampire! You'll need blood directly from a living person's neck.
If you mean how to slean blood from pants, wet the spot and grind in some Oxy Clean. Let it sit overnight, then launder. I know you might not believe it (I didn't), but the stuff really works...just not in seconds, like the commercials show.
I always use hydrogen peroxide. I get the stain wet, pour a little peroxide right onto the stain, then take a toothbrush and scrub with a little liquid soap. And yes, always use cold water!
Good luck!
Soak the pants in cold water and you can buy "Awsome" at the dollar store and spray it on the blood and it will come right off.
Awsome works really well on almost everything and it only costs a dollar.
A laundry detergent in cold water will usually work. Most detergents are designed to attack the proteins in blood stains.
If it just happened then use cold water and baking soda,,NOT hot water!
If you've tried 'everything' you most likely set the stain forever. Try applying glycerine with a cotton ball to either side of the stain. Rub in circles from the outside to the inside of the stain until it starts to shift at the edge, then wash in Napisan (Nappy sanitiser) and cold water.
Next time it happens, simply rinse immediately in cold water then gently rub a cake of soap over the stain and rub against itself vigorously until it's removed. This works most of the time.
You can also soak the item in laundry powder like OMO in cold water for a couple of hours prior to washing in cold water or soak in napisan prior to washing.
did you already put it in a dryer? cold water will take it right out if its fresh, if the pants are dark you cant use peroxide but if they are light colored you can try that, remember never use hot water to remove a protien, milk, gravy, or blood must use cold water to disolve the protien, hot water cooks it right into the fibers.
I have used something called Simple Green with cold water. Put it on there scrub it in and let it soak a while then wash it. Hope this helps.
soak them in a bucket of cold water and a lid of nappiesan and leave for 2 days. good luck!!
