Pour vinegar in container and swirl so it covers all surfaces. Let sit for 20 minutes, swirl again then wash. I do this all the time for those containers that seems to always migrate to the back of the fridge:)
Get some household bleach and mix 50/50 with water, pour in, and let it sit for an hour. Rinse out thoroughly. Put some sweet smelling rose water or other light perfumed water in it to get rid of the bleach smell and let it sit overnight.
