Is dry cleaning really "DRY" ?

Question:I have absolutely no idea how they 'dry clean', but how can you clean something if it's never wet??

Answers:
I can't speak for all dry cleaning services, but I once worked at a dry cleaning buisiness ... I seen how they washed the clothes that would come in - the washers were similar to the giant ones at a public laundry mat - the ones you pay extra for, used for giant loads like a bed-spread/the kind that spins the clothes where you can see it through a tiny window, instead of the old conventional way where you load the clothes by dumping it downwards.
They have certain chemicals to remove spots prior to the garment being thrown in the wash. The detergent was different, but nonetheless, it was detergent. The dryer was the same style as the washer - it doesn't really seem like anything significantly different to how we wash/dry our own clothes besides the cycles/types of machines, detergent/chemicals and drying temps ... and the clothes do get wet, btw!

The chemicals they use are not dry but the garment "air" dries in no time. You don't have to run it through a dryer.
The clothes to get wet, but not with water, They use liquid silicone and the process is the same as what you do at home just without the water.

Use the link below. There is a short video to show you the process.

Glad you asked. I was wondering that myself.
No it is not really dry. They use a checmical solution induced by steam and heat.
I had my carpet "dry cleaned" it was damp when they had finished
