How do you wash white linen pants without taking them to the dry cleaners?
Question:The are Ann Taylor Linen lined pants-white...can I use woolite or what?
Answers:
Yes you may be able to but they are an absolute pain to iron. If you can't find a $1.99 dry cleaner, look at the back rear or inner left side label for use/care instructions. Only if they say may be hand washed can you use Woolite in the sink, but many may be laundered in cold water and dry on the cool cycle.
I know you fell in love with these first, but look at the labels first to avoid dry cleaners later.
check out this site its very helpful, it gives a step by step process of how to care for ur linen pants- good luck! -Nay

Yes, you can wash the linen pants at home with some mild detergent like woolite. Be careful with the pants and don't wring too much.
I suggest you NOT wash them at home though. I'll tell you one of the main reasons linen is dry clean only. Not only is it because linen is delicate but also because linen wrinkles VERY easily yet the wrinkles are VERY hard to get out. You'll spend a whole bunch of time getting the wrinkles out at home with an iron and even when you're done (like an hour later!) they will never look as good as if they had been professionally pressed at the cleaners. Your poor arm will be so tired from pressing so hard too!
Ann Taylor clothes is very pretty, sophisticated clothing. By wearing the linen pants wrinkled because you did not want to take to the cleaners, you are ruining the point of buying nice quality clothes. Please consider dry cleaning.
