How do i remove the stench of rotting meat in my lrg. freezer Someone unplugged it. YUK!?

Question:All the meat has been disposed of but the garage still stinks to high heaven. PLEASE HELP!

Answers:
Thoroughly clean it with a 50/50 bleach and water solution.Run the refrigerator and put a couple of boxes of baking soda in there.Might take a bit but it will work. You may also have to change the baking soda a couple of times too.Good luck.

Good Luck! Sometimes you can never get the smell out of a chest freezer. Using vinegar and baking soda is your best bet. half a gallon of vinegar and half a box of baking soda. Mix in a large bucket because it will bubble up. Use this with Mr Eraser. Air out over night afterwards.
newspaper if you want to keep it natural/
place some in the freezer and the paper absorbs the smell
I also had this to happen. We used cat litter in a container and closed the lid. You may also try newspaper wadded up and placed in there and close the lid. Hope this helps
